Job summary

Western Extrusions Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer to manage capital projects, coordinate equipment installations, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced aluminum extrusion manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS teams to enhance safety, efficiency, and plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing capital projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software preferred.
• Aluminum extrusion or metals manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and capital improvement projects from planning through implementation.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and facility modifications.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for extrusion presses and related manufacturing equipment.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and project timelines to ensure successful execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
