Job summary

Atkore in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Welder to join our manufacturing team. Based in a non-climate-controlled shop, you will operate welding machines, interpret drawings, and fabricate aluminum cable trays to customer specifications under the supervision of the Welding Supervisor.

You will read a tape measure, perform setup and adjustments, and cross-train in different shop areas while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months welding experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical School Welding Certificate (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate setup and adjustments of welding machines.
• Interpret drawings and fabricate based on blueprints.
• Fabricate per customer specifications adhering to drawings.
• Maintain safety controls and PPE in all tasks.
• Cross-train in different shop areas as required.
• Participate in Atkore’s safety program.
