Job summary

Atkore International in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift (4:00pm-12:30am, Monday-Friday) to weld aluminum cable trays. You will report to the Welding Supervisor and contribute to lean manufacturing goals while maintaining safety standards.

Requirements include 6+ months welding experience, ability to read a tape measure, a HS diploma or GED, and a preferred Technical School Welding Certificate. Overtime may be required and lifting up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ months welding experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical School Welding Certificate preferred.
• Ability to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for a shift in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate welding machines in the department.
• Fabricate per customer specs using blueprints.
• Read drawings and measure with a tape measure.
• Safely use basic fabrication tools and PPE; follow safety program.
• Cross-train in different shop areas as needed.
