Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is hiring a Painter B to support powder coating of boats and boat parts at our facility. The role emphasizes working safely, maintaining a positive attitude, and producing high-quality coatings within allotted time.

You will prepare parts, operate coating equipment, monitor quality, and assist in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency. The position requires a HS diploma and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read tape measurements and follow standard operating procedures.
• Ability to wear PPE and work in team or independently.
• Experience or ability to work with powder coating processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for coating.
• Operate powder coating equipment incl. guns, hoppers, and booth systems.
• Monitor gauges and detect defects during coating.
• Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality.
• Load/unload parts onto fixtures and maintain equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Painter B position has the responsibility to work safely, maintain a positive attitude, be respectful to all and focus efforts and abilities towards building a quality product in the time allocated. This position is responsible for assisting in powder coating boats and boat parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepares parts for coating.
• Follows principles and practices of powder coating.
• Operates all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
• Observes machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
• Determines paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality.
• Ensure all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals.
• Loads and unloads parts or product onto fixtures.
• Maintains maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
