Job summary

Schupan is hiring experienced Aluminum Bender Operators for our Kalamazoo, MI facility on 1st and 2nd shifts. This role involves setting up and operating bending machines to shape metal components according to prints and specifications, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

You will read technical drawings, perform quality inspections with calipers and gauges, maintain equipment, and collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Basic math skills and measurement proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate bending machines in accordance with prints and specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings and follow work instructions.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers and gauges.
• Inspect equipment prior to use and perform routine maintenance adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with MIOSHA safety rules and ISO quality procedures.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve production issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area following 5S standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
