Job summary

Schupan is seeking an Extrusion Saw Operator for the Davis Creek facility in Kalamazoo, MI. This full-time role operates on a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities and bonuses.

You will cut material per production schedules, read orders, and prepare accurate, organized shipments. The position requires 3–6 months related experience, forklift familiarity with certification willingness, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 3-6 months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training
• Forklift experience preferred; willingness to become certified required
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion saw equipment to cut material according to production schedules and work orders
• Read customer orders, shipping documents, and requisitions to determine what needs to be moved or distributed
• Assemble and stage customer orders; place on pallets, shelves, or route to packing station
• Mark materials with accurate identifying information and retrieve items from receiving or production areas
• Sort and store materials by size, type, style, color, or product code
• Safely load and unload in restricted spaces
• Apply basic math skills -- tape measure, calipers, decimals, fractions -- to ensure accurate cuts
