Job summary

Altra Running is seeking a Field Service Representative to champion the brand across Michigan, driving retailer partnerships, local events, and community activations while visiting stores and events throughout the territory.

Based in or near Detroit, you will work remotely with strong on-site engagement, reporting field activities, and supporting brand growth in one of the country’s most passionate running communities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of specialty retail experience (run or outdoor preferred).
• ~2+ years in marketing, sales, or a customer-facing field role.
• A proactive, self-starter mindset with a passion for the running and outdoor community.
• Best practices for supporting retailers, events, and community activations.

Responsibilities

• Enable the Altra brand across Michigan through in-person visits, demos, and retail support.
• Build retailer relationships through store visits, events, and activations.
• Create excitement around Altra via local partnerships, run clubs, events, and community engagement.
• Represent Altra at local races, events, and expos and gather market feedback.

You'll be out in the field often! While this is a remote role, living in the greater Detroit area will help you stay connected to the people and places that bring the Altra brand to life.

• Active the Altra brand across your territory through authentic connections, thoughtful activations, and hands-on support.
• Build strong relationships with retailers through in-person visits, demos, and sales floor support
• Create excitement around Altra through local partnerships, run clubs, events, and community engagement
• Execute merchandising and promotional activations that elevate the in-store experience
• Represent Altra at local and select national races, events, and expos
• Act as the eyes and ears of the brand by sharing insights on product feedback, consumer behavior, and market trends
• Maintain accurate field reporting and manage field assets, travel, and expenses with strong attention to detail
• You'll make a measurable impact by growing both relationships and brand presence in your territory.
• Retail partners feel confident selling Altra and actively advocate for the brand
• Community engagement drives awareness, trial, and long-term loyalty
• Territory performance grows year over year, supported by strong execution of service plans
