Job summary

Altra is seeking a Field Service Representative to champion the Altra brand across Michigan. You’ll build retailer relationships, run demos, and support sales on the floor.

You’ll educate staff and customers, create community engagement through runs and events, and partner with Sales to execute go-to-market plans. You’ll report field activities, manage assets, and travel as needed. This remote role favors the Detroit area with local presence and strong incentives.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of specialty retail experience (run or outdoor preferred).
• 2+ years in marketing, sales, or a customer-facing field role.
• Experience fitting and selling technical footwear.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote the Altra brand across your territory through authentic connections and activations.
• Build relationships with retailers via in-person visits, demos, and sales floor support.
• Deliver product education to retailers and consumers to build confidence and enthusiasm.
• Create excitement through local partnerships, run clubs, events, and community engagement.
• Execute merchandising and promotional activations to elevate in-store experience.
• Represent Altra at races, events, and expos.
• Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional teams to implement go-to-market plans.
• Provide insights on product feedback, consumer behavior, and market trends.
• Maintain field reporting and manage assets, travel, and expenses.
