Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with ~3 years of hardware experience to join our engineering team. You will drive the full hardware development lifecycle from concept to production, emphasizing PCB layout in Altium and thorough lab bring-up.

The ideal candidate will design multi-layer PCBs with SI/PI and EMI considerations, select components, and work with CMs to generate Gerbers, BOMs, and ECOs. Proficiency in I2C/SPI/UART/USB/CAN is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hardware development and PCB design experience.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer (schematic capture, PCB layout, output generation).
• Hands-on lab experience with test equipment and SMT rework (0402/0201).

Responsibilities

• Design and layout multi-layer PCBs with Altium Designer, ensuring SI/PI and EMC/EMI best practices.
• Select active/passive components, MCU/PMICs, and connectors; maintain libraries per IPC standards.
• Board bring-up, debugging, testing, and lab validation with oscilloscopes, logic/spectrum analyzers, and meters.
• Collaborate with PCB fabricators and contract manufacturers to produce Gerbers, BOMs, and drawings.
• Design DC-DC converters, linear regulators, mixed-signal circuits, and high-speed interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, CAN).
• Lead peer design reviews and maintain documentation, test plans, and ECOs.
