TAE Technologies is seeking a skilled PCB Designer to support custom electronic boards and devices in Southern California. The role includes PCB design, documentation, prototype bring‑up, and hardware validation.

The ideal candidate will combine strong layout and schematic skills with hands‑on lab experience and a solid understanding of manufacturable electronic design. Key responsibilities include creating schematics and footprints in Altium, multi‑layer board layout, manufacturing package

Qualifications

• 4+ years of PCB design and hardware development.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and manufacturing packaging generation.
• Experience with multilayer PCB design and read/write datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Design custom PCBs and electronic assemblies.
• Create and maintain schematics, footprints, layouts, and routing in Altium.
• Place components for 2–6 layer boards and generate manufacturing packages.
• Prepare schematics, BOMs, Gerber files, and output packages.
• Support analog and digital circuit design activities.
• Simulate circuits with LTspice, Micro‑Cap, or Simulink.
• Build, inspect, and troubleshoot prototype boards.
• Verify PCBs using lab equipment and test units.
• Review datasheets for proper component selection and use.
• Solder and rework SMD components as needed.
