Job summary

E-Space in Saratoga, California seeks a hands-on PCB Design Engineer to own the entire PCB lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing release, focusing on high-layer, digital and mixed-signal boards using Altium Designer.

The ideal candidate will translate complex requirements into production-ready schematics and layouts, ensuring signal integrity, PDN robustness, and DFM compliance while collaborating with hardware, FPGA, firmware, and mechanical teams.

Qualifications

• Altium Mastery: advanced PCB layout and schematic capture.
• Experience designing high-layer-count boards (6+ layers) for digital/mixed-signal systems.
• Strong stack-up planning, high-speed routing, differential pairs, and impedance control.
• EMI/EMC-aware layout, power distribution networks (PDN) and decoupling strategies.
• Familiarity with manufacturability, DFx and DFM guidelines.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own the PCB lifecycle from concept to manufacturing release.
• Develop and maintain complex multi-layer layouts and schematics in Altium Designer.
• Design with high-speed signal integrity, robust PDN and grounding strategies.
• Produce fabrication and assembly packages: Gerber/ODB++ files, BOMs, drawings.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, firmware and mechanical engineering teams.
• Coordinate with fabrication vendors to resolve DFM/DFT issues.
• Manage component selection, ECAD library and board bring-up revisions.
