Job summary

Central Business Solutions, Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and implement electrical systems for new and existing products in Santa Barbara. You will create schematics and PCB layouts with Altium Designer and drive documentation, BOMs, and validation activities.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware development, collaboration with mechanical and firmware teams, prototype support, and manufacturing transitions to ensure performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional experience in electrical/electronic product development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Altium Designer.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for new and existing products.
• Create electrical schematics and PCB designs using Altium Designer.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and design documentation.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
• Support prototype builds, board bring-up, debugging, testing, and design validation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hardware issues and implement design improvements.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
• Support design reviews and transition products from development into manufacturing.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve PCB and production issues.
• Ensure designs meet applicable performance, reliability, manufacturability, and quality requirements.
