PIMCO is offering a 2027 Summer Internship as a Trade Support Analyst in Newport Beach, CA. The role supports Portfolio Management and Trading desks with quantitative analysis, risk monitoring, and client-related workflows.

You will gain hands-on exposure to fixed income concepts, develop tools with AI-powered resources, and participate in training, mentorship, and cross-divisional events during a 10-week summer program, starting early June through mid-August.

Qualifications

• Have undertaken finance, fixed income, and/or capital markets coursework (recommended but not required).
• Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Excel-based calculations, presenting data in the accurate format, simple macro builds, using Excel functions to analyze data).
• Business proficient in English

Responsabilités

• Ensure investment objectives are implemented across portfolios in scope.
• Monitor portfolio positions versus client guidelines in concert with Compliance team.
• Coordinate with Portfolio Management on re-balancing of portfolios.
• Utilize proprietary risk systems for monitoring of portfolio exposures.
• Assist in account transitions and cash flow management.
• Conduct performance and attribution analyses.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from the Portfolio Management team.
