Job summary

J.P. Morgan Alternative Fund Services seeks an Associate to manage books and records for Hedge/Hybrid and Private Equity funds, review governing documents, and prepare NAVs and fee calculations.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to controls. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years in accounting, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of US GAAP for investment funds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in an accounting role.
• Knowledge of US GAAP for Investment Funds.
• Familiar with Private Equity & Hedge fund structures.
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail; able to work under pressure and balance priorities.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and client service skills with ability to see projects to completion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the books and records of Hedge/Hybrid and Private Equity funds.
• Review fund governing documents and related agreements; ensure correct setup and maintenance of fund structures in accounting database.
• Prepare and/or review periodic Net Asset Valuations, management fee and carried interest calculations, investor allocations, and capital account statements.
• Prepare and/or review capital calls and distributions; reconcile calls and payments.
• Coordinate with Investor Relations; release capital notices and quarterly reporting on investor portal.
• Work with managers and teams to meet SLA timelines and ad hoc requests.
• Liaise with risk, audit, tax, compliance, and investor relations teams.
