Job summary

Michels is seeking an Alternative Delivery Manager in Illinois to lead all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects, including business development, pursuits, proposals, and contract/design management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 5+ years of project management experience in transportation projects, and strong leadership and communication skills. Travel up to 50% may be required, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of project management or construction management experience.
• Experience with transportation engineering or transportation construction projects.
• Experience with alternative delivery projects (design-build, CMGC, progressive design-build).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% depending on assignment and project requirements.
• Experience in leading projects and managing client relationships.
• Understanding of win strategies, pricing and project scheduling.
• Experience with Scheduling, Estimating and Project Controls software.
• Valid driver license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and management for all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects.
• Involve in all phases of the project lifecycle from business development to pursuits, proposals, and contract/design management.
• Communicate effectively with Michels teams and external partner and client teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while meeting client expectations.
