Saks Fifth Avenue Llc is seeking an Alterations Manager to lead the Greenwich and Neiman Marcus Westchester teams, driving service excellence and operational standards for alterations in luxury fashion.

The role requires management experience in upscale environments, tailoring knowledge, and proficiency with Word and Excel, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation reflects market location and scope.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree preferred.
• 3+ years of management experience with comparable volume.
• Fitting/tailoring experience in luxury merchandise setting preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of Alterations industry including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel; flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Job Description

YOU WILL BE: Under direction from the Assistant General Manager of Operations, the Alterations Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support to all of the Alterations Associates in our Saks Fifth Avenue Greenwich and our Neiman Marcus Westchester locations in order to provide outstanding service and meet the demands of the clients and selling organization.

• Drive positive outcomes through objectives and measuring and monitoring progress and results successfully
• Create a professional work environment by communicating and exemplifying our company's standards of excellence.
• Create effective teamwork between the selling organization and the Alterations department.
• Maintain a consistently high level of customer service within the department by recruiting, selecting, training, and developing quality professional Alterations Associates.
• Deliver ongoing education, assessment and performance feedback to associates with regard to quality, productivity, service and alterations policy and procedures
• Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
• 4 year degree preferred.
• 3+ years of management experience with comparable volume or a proven track record of success managing operations workforce and achieving results
• Fitting/tailoring experience in high-end or luxury merchandise setting is preferred, not required
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments is preferred, not required
• Knowledge of Alterations industry including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
• Proficiency in utilizing available technology, Word, Excel etc. is required. Must be flexible in scheduling as the business needs evening weekend and holiday schedules.

Salary Range $85,808 - $107,260*

Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
