Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of proven specialized experience in sewing and laundering clothing and textiles, having sound knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques. Additional experience in maintenance and cleaning is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Alter and/or repair client’s garments and other articles, including hemming, mending, and alterations.
• Create garments and other articles while communicating with clients to determine their needs, specifications, and preferences.
• Label and record alterations of garments and other articles.
• Iron and press, using a pressing machine, to remove wrinkles and creases from garments and other articles.
• Remove stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
