Job summary

Pagosa Springs Medical Center in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, seeks an experienced EMT-P to join our EMS team. The Paramedic provides advanced pre-hospital care, leads on scene, and coordinates care for EMT-B and EMT-IV partners in a rural mountain community.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the EMT-P national standard curriculum is required.
• Current Colorado EMT-P certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications or completion within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification required; strong documentation skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct advanced life support care within the Paramedic scope of practice.
• Lead on scene as ALS Lead and coordinate patient care among EMT-B/EMT-IV partners.
• Coordinate patient care and activities of other responders on scene.
• Complete patient care documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, continuing education, and competencies.
• Assist with orientation and training of new EMS staff.
