Job summary

Sutter Health is seeking a registered nurse for the ABSMC-Ashby NICU at the Berkeley campus. You will deliver direct patient care, educate families, and coordinate transitions of care in a high-acuity NICU setting.

You will develop and execute care plans, collaborate with the care team, and communicate effectively with physicians, families and staff. BSN required; 2 years NICU experience; NRP/BLS credentials necessary.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Minimum 2 years NICU experience in Level III NICU.
• NICU neonatal transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for a specialized NICU patient population.
• Provide direct patient care and family education.
• Develop, implement and coordinate plans of care considering psychosocial factors.

Position Overview

Utilizes extended and expanded skills, experience and knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation, diagnosis and evaluation of the care required within an acute care specialty. Accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. In partnership with the care team, the RN delivers holistic and individualized care to patients in an assigned specialty area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications.

Pay Range is $90.58 to $126.81 / hour

The posted pay range is based on the position's primary work location. Candidates who reside and work outside of that location may be subject to a different pay range based on their work location. Candidate starting salaries consider multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
