Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Service Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a BLS Lead Instructor who is a certified EMT and Instructor (IC). The role includes instructing, evaluating and mentoring students in EMS, ensuring OEMS standards and treatment protocols are followed.

You will deliver initial certification classes, update training content, and teach CPR/ACLS/PALS with high‑fidelity simulations. Duties include exams, student records, CME sessions for certified EMTs, and ongoing faculty collaboration.

Qualifications

• Certified EMT; Instructor certification preferred.
• Experience teaching EMS or health care students a plus.
• Familiarity with OEMS standards and state protocols recommended.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans for EMS programs, including Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and BCLS.
• Provide hands-on training in skills labs, overseeing scenarios to ensure competence in basic airway management, cardiac arrest management, BLS pharmacology, splinting, etc.
• Administer practical and written examinations, provide feedback to students, maintain student records.
• Mentor students in the classroom and clinical settings; monitor progress toward BLS recertification.
