Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks a Systems Project Engineer to support the U.S. Navy Ford-class ALRE programs. This role focuses on evaluating changes to baselines for reliability and robustness, presenting Engineering Change Proposals, and guiding transition from development to implementation within GA-EMS.

You will troubleshoot fleet operations, lead design discussions, and communicate results to customers and program offices with limited direction.

Qualifications

Typically requires advanced engineering degree with progressive experience in systems engineering or technical project engineering.
Extensive capability to understand system architectures and CONOPS.
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical analyses and judgement for development, fabrication, testing, and integration of systems.
Coordinate with customers, contractors, and engineering groups.
Develop program plans, estimates, and schedules.
Generate labor hours, materials, and travel estimates for proposals.
Develop system and component requirements and organize into specification documents.
