Job summary

Axon is seeking a Project Manager to own and accelerate national permitting for ALPR deployments, guiding multi‑jurisdictional approvals and driving scalable workflows. You will engage AHJs, steer regulatory navigation, and partner with engineering, legal, and deployment teams to reduce risk and ensure compliant, high-velocity installations across the U.S.

This role demands deep regulatory knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to design scalable processes for high‑volume deployments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing infrastructure, utility, or construction permitting in enterprise or public-sector environments.
• Demonstrated expertise with NEC, NFPA, zoning, environmental regulations.
• Track record of influencing internal stakeholders and external regulators.
• Certifications such as PMP, ICC Permit Technician, OSHA 30, NFPA, LEED preferred.
• Proficiency in GIS, CAD, Asana, and permit tracking systems.
• Proven ability to lead in complex, multi-jurisdictional environments.

Responsibilities

• Authority Engagement: Build and maintain proactive relationships with permitting and zoning officials nationwide.
• Strategic Permit Leadership: Own end-to-end permitting workflows across multiple states and municipalities; design and maintain tracking tools; optimize timelines.
• Risk & Regulatory Navigation: Identify permitting barriers early and mitigate; translate code frameworks into deployment requirements; ensure audit-ready documentation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, deployment, legal, and customer success; provide permitting forecasts and guidance.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Drive permitting considerations during early-stage project planning.
