Your Impact

Own and accelerate the permitting process for Axon’s ALPR infrastructure deployments by eliminating roadblocks before they surface. This role turns complexity into clarity—guiding customers through regulatory hurdles, standardizing scalable workflows, and enabling compliant, high-velocity installations across the U.S.

Reports to: Director, Professional Services

As a Project Manager at Axon, you are a national permitting authority—driving strategy, reducing risk, and steering deployment teams through the complex landscape of multi-jurisdictional approvals. You’ll work at the intersection of public safety, engineering, and local government—serving as a trusted advisor for both internal teams and external agencies.

This position demands deep regulatory knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to design scalable processes for high-volume deployments. You’ll lead engagement with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), oversee national compliance, and de-risk field operations long before equipment hits the ground.

  • Translate code frameworks (NEC, NFPA, local zoning) into deployment-ready requirements
  • Partner with compliance and legal teams to ensure documentation and approvals are audit-ready

  • Act as a core partner to engineering, deployment, legal, and customer success
  • Provide permitting forecasts and impact guidance to project teams
  • Advocate for permitting considerations during early-stage project planning
