Job summary

Wieland is seeking an Alloy Engineer for East Alton, IL. The role focuses on metallurgical aspects, ensuring high quality and cost efficiency in routing and process definitions.

This on-site position collaborates with Planning/Technical Service to define requirements and maintain documentation. The ideal candidate has a metallurgical engineering background with at least five years in manufacturing and strong communication skills to support cross-functional teams and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Metallurgical engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• In-depth understanding of metallurgical/manufacturing processes to ensure high quality at lowest cost.
• Develop and maintain RollGuide, Feasibility and Special Application systems and documentation; provide accurate process logic to Planning.
• Develop metallurgical routing for East Alton material; collaborate with Planning and Technical Service to ensure order-entry accuracy.
