Job summary

Wieland in East Alton, IL is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team responsible for complex metal manufacturing equipment, including casting, rolling and annealing. The role emphasizes safety excellence and continuous improvement through MOS processes to maximize productivity and accountability.

The position is on-site with a 12-hour rotating schedule (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am). Base salary ranges from $88,000 to $98,000 per year, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Technical Field with minimum five years' experience or equivalent manufacturing maintenance supervision experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills on industrial equipment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am) rotating every 2 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Utilize MOS process to implement and direct work activities/plans/schedules and assess maintenance shift performance.
• Instruct and coach hourly maintenance employees in proper maintenance and safety procedures.
• Establish and enforce safety, quality, housekeeping and productivity expectations.
• Support continuous improvement activities including Safety Excellence, TPM and Lean Manufacturing.
• Ensure conformance to maintenance plans, PMs and proactive maintenance specs.
• Assist in troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain productivity and quality.
• Enforce craftsman expectations regarding productivity, safety, and quality.
