Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. seeks an Alloy Engineer in East Alton, IL. This on-site role focuses on metallurgical aspects to deliver high quality at low cost.

You will collaborate with Planning to ensure routing accuracy and maintain internal metallurgical definitions for process flow. Ideal candidates have a metallurgical engineering background and at least 5 years of manufacturing experience, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in metal processing or related fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Metallurgical understanding to support routing and process control.

Responsibilities

• Understand metallurgical/manufacturing processes to enable high-quality, low-cost production.
• Develop and maintain routing and documentation; provide process logic to Planning.
• Lead metallurgical routing improvements and coordinate with Technical Service and Sales.
