What you'll do:

• Provide technical support across all phases of operations including refractories, melting, teeming, thermal handling, and ingot cutting
• Lead product development efforts and support new product launches
• Ensure departments follow established procedures and sound metallurgical practices
• Drive projects focused on productivity improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement
• Lead investigations into operational and quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Own the accuracy, reliability, and maintenance of analytical and chemical testing equipment
• Perform chemical analysis of final steel samples and heat certifications
• Support customers with technical product issues
• Make disposition decisions on material and product
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, processes, and best practices
