Job summary

Marc Jacobs is seeking an Allocation Planner to join the Planning, Allocation, and Operations team at its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. You will manage replenishment for Retail Stores and initial season allocations for stores and Wholesale partners.

The role requires 1–2 years in planning, advanced Excel, retail math expertise, and strong analytical skills to optimize inventory, service levels, and sell-through. You will collaborate with Buying and Sales teams to support on-time launches.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in planning role.
• Must be able to work unsupervised (minimum 50%-time in allocation)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Comprehensive understanding of retail math
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills
• Organized and able to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Store allocation and replenishment from DC to stores daily
• Determine initial allocation and replenishment quantities to maintain inventory levels
• Propose in-store inventory threshold changes to upper management
• Work on region-specific inventory and sales reporting
• Evaluate sales daily and react to trends to maximize sell-through
• Coordinate with Buying team on priorities and market needs
• Report on product in DC dates and delays prior to season launch
• Action inventory allocation and release for Wholesale and Retail
• Analyze daily allocations against incoming supply to optimize warehouse workflow
• Review orders blocked by credit issues or short ship windows
• Provide sales operations with information for weekly shipping forecast
• Execute all retail order entry and maintenance
