Job summary

Marc Jacobs International is seeking a Senior Allocation Planner to join the Planning, Allocation, and Operations team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. The role manages replenishment for Retail Stores and initial season allocations for stores and wholesale partners.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of planning experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical abilities to optimize inventory, service levels, and sell-through across regions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in a planning role.
• Must be able to work unsupervised (minimum 50%-time in allocation).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of retail math.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Organized and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Store allocation and replenishment from DC to stores daily.
• Determine initial allocation and replenishment quantities to maintain inventory levels and maximize service levels.
• Propose changes to in-store inventory thresholds to upper management weekly and monthly.
• Work on region-specific inventory and sales reporting for global decisions.
• Evaluate sales daily and adjust allocations to maximize sales and sell-through.
• Collaborate with Buying team to understand priorities and market needs.
• Report on DC dates and delays to ensure on-time launches.
• Allocate and release inventory for Wholesale and Retail.
• Analyze daily allocations against incoming supply to optimize warehouse workflow.
• Review orders with credit issues or holds and adjust release timing.
• Provide sales operations with information for weekly shipping forecast.
• Execute all retail order entry and maintenance.
