Job summary

Border States is seeking a Customer Service professional in Jacksonville, AR, to support day-to-day operations by processing orders and ensuring excellent service for our Alliance customers. Candidates should have a background in Natural Gas distribution and strong skills in customer service.

This role involves receiving orders, providing price quotes, and resolving customer inquiries efficiently. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including health, dental, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Two-year business/trade degree preferred or equivalent in work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Natural Gas products and systems preferred.
• 2+ years of prior Natural Gas distribution experience preferred.

Job Summary

Supports the day-to-day operations of the Customer Service team in obtaining and processing orders and providing a high level of service to our Alliance customers. Receives and enters orders, provides consistent and timely follow-up on customer inquiries, coordinates and expedites deliveries, processes returns, runs daily reports and resolves customer and order issues.

Responsibilities

• Receives and enters orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provides price quotes to customers for existing bill of materials.
• Provides consistent and timely follow-up on customer inquiries and order status.
• Secures pricing from vendors, coordinates deliveries, processes returns and expedites deliveries when necessary.
• Utilizes product knowledge to provide service to the customer.
• Loads and maintains customer part numbers in the CMIR.
• Adheres to customer product standards.
• Assists and maintains relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Runs daily reports and resolves customer and order issues.
• Assists customers with billing issues.
• Assists with Emergency Response orders.

Qualifications

• Two-year business/trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
• Strong knowledge of Natural Gas products and systems preferred.
• Technical ability to understand Natural Gas systems.
• 2+ years of prior Natural Gas distribution experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Internet, and Email.
• Working knowledge of SAP software preferred.

• Excellent customer service skills including accuracy, responsiveness and engagement.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and reading skills.
• Ability to effectively plan and organize.
