Job Title: Project Manager- Renewable - Utility Scale Battery Storage

Department: Project Management

Reports To: Director of Project Management

Location : Remote- Must be able to travel to Texas Sites.

Full time role with our client.

Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the development of utility-scale battery storage projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, as well as a deep understanding of the battery storage industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of utility-scale battery storage projects, from initial feasibility studies to construction and commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, and safety standards.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Monitor project progress and report regularly to stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure cost control.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, landowners, and community members.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the battery storage industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, 1 preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including utility-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of the battery storage industry, including technology, applications, and regulations.
  • Experience with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • PMP certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with specific battery storage technologies (e.g., lithium-ion, flow batteries).
  • Experience with energy storage project financing.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to battery storage projects.
