Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Millburn, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse - Allergy to provide high-level patient care in our Allergy Office. The LPN will administer medications and allergy injections, assist with testing, and educate patients to deliver The Ultimate Patient Experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an LPN education program approved by the state.
• Active LPN license in the state of employment.
• CPR and AED certifications required.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Previous allergy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance service quality.
• Provide general care and education to patients in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including allergy injections, under supervision.
• Prepare supplies for allergy testing and treatments.
• Perform lung function testing (FeNO and Spirometry) with/without bronchodilators.
• Assist in patch testing interpretation and placement/removal as directed by RN or provider.
• Maintain immunotherapy room and ensure cleanliness.
• Observe, record, and report vitals and reactions to treatments.
• Ensure allergy test sets and emergency kits are current and stocked.
• Assist providers with documentation of treatments and orders within guidelines.
