Job summary

Schweiger is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse - Allergy for our Milburn Allergy Office. The LPN will provide high-level care and education, administer allergy injections, perform testing, and maintain accurate EMR documentation. Allergy experience is preferred.

Schedule includes 30+ hours per week with Monday–Friday availability and rotating Saturdays within 7:00am–7:30pm. Join a team-focused environment with comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Allergy experience preferred.
• Graduate from an LPN education program approved by the state Education Department.
• Pass the NCLEX-PN examination.
• Active LPN license in the state.
• CPR and AED Certifications required.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work during weekdays.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance service quality.
• Provide general care and education to patients in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including allergy shots, under supervision.
• Prepare supplies for allergy testing and treatments.
• Perform lung function testing (FeNO and Spirometry).
• Assist in patch testing interpretation and placement/removal as directed.
• Maintain immunotherapy room with supplies and cleanliness.
• Observe and record vitals and reactions to treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR.
• Ensure allergy test sets and emergency kits are up to date.
• Verify insurance benefits prior to preparing allergy serums.
• Interact with physicians and staff to resolve problems.
• Stay current with field developments via literature and seminars.
