Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a professional truck driver to operate tractor-trailers and perform safety functions across various terrains and routes. You will comply with FMCSA regulations, complete required inspections, and maintain accurate records.

The role involves loading/unloading freight, coordinating with Fleet Services for maintenance, and following company policies. A valid CDL and endorsements are required, with readiness for diverse schedules and environments.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and be eligible to drive per FMCSA regulations.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment.
• Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required (LCV requirements may apply).
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions (manual and automatic transmissions, chaining tires, etc.).
• Safely operate a tractor/trailer for freight in compliance with FMCSA and company regulations.
• Maintain required records and comply with local, state, and federal rules.
• Inspect vehicle pre-trip and post-trip; report maintenance needs to Fleet Services or supervision.
• Conduct inspections, verify paperwork, and ensure security of equipment and cargo.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight and dock work as needed.
