SSU is currently recruiting for an All-Source Analyst to support United States Special Operation Command – Korea (SOCKOR). This opportunity is an on-site / office position for an active contract.
Location: USAG – Humphreys, ROK
Security Clearance: TS, SCI eligible
Duties and Responsibilities:
The All-Source Analyst duties shall include, but are not limited to:
• Research and analyze multi-intelligence data for Irregular Warfare (IW) / Unconventional Warfare (UW) assessments and collaborate with Intelligence Community (IC) entities.
• Creates, updates, and provides reporting analysis on the Commander’s Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) and Essential Elements of Information (EEIs).
• Support Targeting Analysts and SCA / HT Analysts in research and discovery tasks to provide the common operational view.
• Provide fused intelligence bridging geospatial and HT analysis and continuity between strategic, operational, and tactical level planning.
• Coordinate with other command, IC, and Department of Defense (DOD) specialists for collaboration and information sharing, standardization, continuity of operations, and integration of capabilities.
• Conduct in-depth research using classified and unclassified data sources to locate and analyze available intelligence in support of PAS requirements.
• Review current message traffic related to a specific person or theme.
• Collaborate with multiple internal and external Points of Contacts to ensure all aspects of a research effort are incorporated.
• Utilize Map of The World to assist in visualizing PAS products.
• Design collective research plans, including the work breakdown and work schedule showing time allocations to meet the customer requirement.
• Work with SOCKOR SOJ2 to manage expectations of potential time constraints of the request and establish a dialogue to ensure adjustment to scope or timelines to meet the client’s priorities.
• Determine the SMEs associated with the research topic; identify available finished products that may assist in achieving the desired output; foster collaboration with other agencies to answer the requirement; identify and leverage the resources of similar efforts.
• Incorporate measures of confidence in reports as they are entered into the database.
• Utilize existing credibility and reliability rating systems and enter the database.
• Interpret and correlate seemingly unrelated information to determine links and patterns while incorporating the use of automated analysis and custom-developed tools.
• Identify information gaps and develop Source-Directed Requirements or identify alternate sources to garner information.
• Work alongside Geospatial personnel and technologists to determine the best ways to translate text or tabular information into data layers for representation on a map and to contain values for computation in the algorithmic equations of our geospatial model.
• Work with SCA / HT and Geospatial personnel to develop validation points for the Digital Globe Signature Analyst process.
• Live and work in an operational environment when required (e.g., semiannual exercises operating from CP Tango, FOS-I, USAG-Daegu).
• Create graphical, written, and verbal intelligence briefings for SOCKOR Commander and staff as directed.
Qualifications:
• Fluently speak, read, and write English.
• Four years documented experience as intelligence specialist.
• Bachelor of Arts (BA) / Bachelor of Science (BS) degree
• Two years of experience in IC and / or DOD intelligence OR four years relevant military intelligence experience.
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including briefing senior government leadership and publishing analytic products for senior and policymaker use.
• Proficient with all available search tools employed by the TSOCs to include Fusion Analysis Development Effort (FADE) – Multi-INT Spatial Temporal (MIST) (FADE- MIST).
• Possess experience and knowledge that allows for the comparison of alternative techniques applied at other locations, such as the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Joint Intelligence Task Force – Counterterrorism (JITFCT), USSOCOM, National Geospatial Agency (NGA), the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), and other TSOCs.
• Working level knowledge of Arc Geographic Information Systems ArcGIS applications and capabilities to ensure cross communication among analysts on each TSOC team.
• Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office and SharePoint products
• Ability to work in a high tempo, high stress environment with minimal oversight.
• Valid Korean or International Driver’s License
