Job summary

UPMC Bedford is seeking a full-time Sonographer to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures under physician supervision. Must be able to work all three shifts with weekend and holiday rotation; on-call as needed.

This role includes a $6,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment to UPMC. Responsibilities include assisting with invasive procedures, proper coding and archiving via RIS and ISITE, and maintaining patient safety through strict adherence to universal protocol and high-level

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with invasive procedures and follows universal protocol standards.
• Ensures exams are coded and tracked in RIS and archived in ISITE for interpretation.
• May be responsible for high level disinfection of devices, supplies and/or equipment.
• Communicates instructions to patients and explains procedures to help reduce anxiety.
