Responsibilities

• Performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
• Assists physicians with procedures, adhering to universal protocol standards.
• Interacts with patients and co-workers with care and respect.
• Communicates instructions clearly to patients to alleviate fears.
• Ensures exams are properly coded, tracked, and charges entered.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and reviews orders.
• Documents patient history in electronic records.
• Handles High-Level Disinfection of devices, supplies, and equipment.
• Obtains and documents cross-sectional anatomy images, correlating with data charts.
• Performs ultrasound procedures using appropriate instrumentation.

• Assists physicians with invasive procedures, adhering to universal protocol standards.
• Interacts with patients and co-workers, displaying caring, listening, dignity, and respect.
• Communicates instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears.
• Ensures exams are properly coded, tracked, networked, and charges entered.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and reviews patient history and physician orders.
• Documents patient history in electronic records as required.
• May handle High-Level Disinfection of devices, supplies, and equipment.
• Obtains and documents cross-sectional anatomy images, correlating measurements with data charts.
• Performs technical ultrasound procedures, using appropriate instrumentation and techniques.
