Job Description

To ensure all food is served according to specifications and is replenished and fresh in appearance. Responsible for keeping the cafeteria clean.

Responsibilities

1. Communicate with the supervisor to learn daily work tasks and their coordination.
2. Keep all food and beverage items replenished and fresh in appearance.
3. Be knowledgeable of all areas in the cafeteria.
4. Be knowledgeable of plate presentations and preparations of all menu items.
5. Communicate with all cooks daily for proper pars and production requirements when needed.
6. Keep cafeteria clean.
7. Dishwashing required.
8. Sweeping and mopping of dining room area.
9. Following proper health code and regulations.
10. Proper labeling and dating of food items.
11. Maintain beverage dispensers and ice bins.
12. Responsible for salad bar food production and refilling.
13. Responsible for removing and disposing trash.

Qualifications

1. Must be able to endure exposure to heat, steam and hazardous cleaning chemicals.
2. Must be able to stand for length of shift.
3. Must be able to lift up to 25 Lbs.
4. Must be able to communicate well with coworkers and work as part of a team.
5. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
6. Food handling experience preferred.
