Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct objective assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in accordance with departmental policies. The role requires a Master’s in Speech/Language Pathology and an active state license, with ASHA certification expected within 1 year of hire and BLS on file.

Emergency responsiveness is essential, with preferred candidates having experience across ages.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• Current or provisional SLP license in applicable state.
• ASHA certification within 1 year of hire; BLS certification is required.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Performs objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for assigned patients following policies.
• Adheres to departmental procedures regarding referral and patient care coordination.
• Responds to emergencies and collaborates with care teams as needed.
• Keeps licensure current and maintains documentation per hospital policy.
