Job summary

RTX is seeking an Algorithms Software Engineer II for its Plano, TX campus. The role focuses on implementing system-level architecture updates and optimizing low-level code for high-performance, real-time applications. You will work with scientists to transform algorithms into efficient C/C++/CUDA code and run tests in HPC environments.

The position requires a Secret security clearance (current/active) and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in real-time/embedded software.
• Experience developing real-time software in C/C++ for Linux.
• Active and transferable Secret clearance required prior to start; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Work with scientists to understand algorithm goals and limitations.
• Optimize software for performance, including parallel processing and GPUs/accelerators.
• Translate algorithms from Python/MATLAB to optimized C/C++/CUDA.
• Model and test algorithms in HPC environments.
• Design, implement, test, and debug real-time software.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams and participate in design reviews.
• Possible travel for customer collaboration.
