Job summary

Wintermute, a leading algorithmic trading firm, seeks an Algorithmic Trader in New York to own P&L-impacting projects with experienced traders and developers. After training, you will analyze large data sets, identify opportunities, and develop trading strategies that directly affect performance.

You will operate across trading, analysis and development with increasing ownership, focusing on quantitative analysis, coding, and commercial decision-making in a fast-moving crypto markets environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills demonstrated in professional work, internships, or projects.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities to interpret large data sets and market data.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience; exceptional graduates considered from HFT/quant trading environments.
• Interest in algorithmic trading, high-frequency trading, liquidity provision, and crypto markets.

Responsibilities

• Improve and optimize existing trading strategies.
• Develop new strategies and products for trading and liquidity provision.
• Analyze large volumes of market and transaction data to identify opportunities.
• Build tools to enhance trading performance and decision-making.
• Improve trading system infrastructure and related technology.
