Job summary

Auria in Huntsville, AL is hiring an Algorithm Software Engineer to design and develop Java-based mathematical algorithms for the C2BMC program. This onsite role requires a DoD Secret clearance and ~10% travel, with responsibilities across software design, implementation, testing, and design reviews.

You will work with cross-disciplinary teams in a highly dynamic environment, contributing to mission-critical defense projects, and supporting Agile planning and MATLAB-driven algorithm integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or Master's with 3 years of experience; or 9 years of experience as alternative
• Active DoD-issued Secret clearance required to start
• Willingness to travel ~10% for business needs
• Experience in Java application development, Unix/Linux, and AMD MATLAB-based algorithms
• Experience with Agile development, DevSecOps, and systems integration
• Strong problem-solving, and ability to review system behavior and root cause analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
• Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams for mission success

Responsibilities

• Generate software design artifacts and implement Java-based changes

• Present developed designs to stakeholders
• Participate in Agile planning and execution using C2BMC processes
