Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration in Huntsville, AL seeks a Sr Principal Software Engineer (Algorithm) – TRK to design complex Java-based mathematical algorithms for SLD within the C2BMC program. On-site role requiring Secret clearance and collaboration across multiple teams including Systems Engineering and Deployment.

Responsibilities include prototyping in MATLAB/Java, leading design reviews, and guiding junior engineers within RA ART.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent with extensive algorithm design background.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Java-based software development.
• Experience with data fusion, Kalman filtering, and radar processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Java-based mathematical algorithm design for SLD in C2BMC.
• Develop architecture docs, designs and technical presentations.
• Prototype and transition algorithms to real-time Java systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive agile planning and execution.
