Job summary

Spencer Fane LLP seeks a junior alcohol beverage regulatory associate for any office location.

The candidate should have 1+ years of experience in alcohol beverage law and regulatory compliance, with exposure to licensing (TTB and state permits), three-tier distribution, trade practices, labeling and formula approvals, franchise or distribution agreements, and related corporate matters supporting beverage clients.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record
• Admission to the corresponding state bar in good standing
• Experience with, or strong interest in, alcohol beverage regulatory law, including familiarity with the U.S. TTB and state agencies
• Knowledge of the three-tier system, trade practice rules, and licensing requirements for manufacturers, distributors, and retailers of alcohol beverages
• Ability to interface directly with attorneys and clients
• Demonstrate an ability to work independently and productively
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving and organization skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to develop and implement legal strategies
• Interest and ability working in a collaborative team environment
