Job summary

Land’s End Resort in Homer, AK seeks an experienced Bartender to deliver high quality beverage service in a hotel dining setting. You must be 21+ to prepare and serve alcohol and have at least one year of bartending experience. TAP certification or equivalent training is required.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, entering them into the POS, preparing drinks, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining grooming and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to serve and prepare alcohol.
• At least one (1) year of bartending experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.
• Must have Training for Alcohol Professionals (TAP) certification; or have been formally trained in alcohol management/serving.
• Observes grooming, customer service, and uniform/ dress standards.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Greets guest and takes orders promptly.
• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Follows TAP ID verification and training guidelines.
• Enter orders into POS system.
• Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Prepare drinks to order such as wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Observes diners to respond to requests and determine when meal is completed.
• Serves food items to assigned tables as ordered.
• Totals up bills and accepts payments or refers patron to cashier.
• Clears and resets guest areas after each course or service.
• Ensure food stations are stocked according to checklists.
• Breaks down service stations and cleans equipment.
