Job summary

Hyatt Place Anchorage is seeking a professional Bartender to craft and serve beverages, engage guests, and uphold a clean, well-stocked bar. You will showcase knowledge of beer, wine and spirits while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, preparing drinks to order, maintaining bar cleanliness, coordinating with the F&B team, and ensuring compliant alcohol service. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience is required.
• Ability to obtain alcohol beverage and/or food service certifications as required by local ordinance.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, beer and wine and responsible alcohol service are required.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability and willingness to work a varied and flexible schedule including weekends, days, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take drink and food orders in a timely manner.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of food and beverage menus to provide recommendations and upsell premium products.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and follow local laws and hotel policies.
• Maintain clean and organized bar area and stock liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, mixers and supplies.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and inventory counts.
• Collaborate with servers, barbacks and F&B team to ensure smooth service.
