Job summary

Land’s End Resort in Homer, AK seeks an experienced Bartender to deliver high quality beverage service in a hotel dining setting. You must be 21+ to prepare and serve alcohol and have at least one year of bartending experience. TAP certification or equivalent training is required.

The Bartender position is responsible for delivering high quality food and beverage services in a restaurant setting. Must be at least 21 years of age as this position will prepare and serve alcohol. This position will support the Land’s End Resort, a 117-room hotel, in Homer, AK.

• Promptly greets guest and takes their order.
• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Follows TAPS ID verification and training guidelines.
• Ability to enter orders into POS (Point of Sale) system.
• Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Prepare drinks to order such as wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
• Serves food items to assigned tables in manner it was ordered.
• Totals up bills and accepts payments or refers patron to cashier.
• Promptly clears and resets guest areas at conclusion of each course or service.
• Ensure food stations are stocked according to checklists.
• Break down service stations and cleans equipment.
• This position is not responsible for the supervision of staff.
• Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

Weather: Indoors: environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside. Noise level: Moderate to loud. Description of environment: This is a commercial kitchen in a hotel setting. Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
