Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line seeks a Catering Cook, Line for the Employee Dining Room at Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. This seasonal full-time role involves on-line cooking, prep work, and maintaining cleanliness in a fast-paced staff kitchen.

You will follow company recipes, ensure food safety, and contribute to a positive dining experience for crew members while upholding professional standards and teamwork. Alaska housing availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
• Must have or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs./23 kg, work around hot kitchen equipment safely, and stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce food per Company recipes and specifications on a kitchen line and prep area in a fast-paced environment.
• Food preparation and stocking workstation to ensure success for business demands.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
• Stock kitchen, organize product, inspect food quality.
• Completing food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management.
• Contribute effectively to a positive experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
