Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of maritime industry experience.
  • Heavy Equipment Operator experience is required (loader, forklift, deck crane, skid steer).
  • U.S. citizen with a valid U.S. Passport and six months before renewal.
  • TWIC valid with at least six months before renewal.
  • Driver's license with minimum six months before renewal.
  • Able to complete Merchant Mariners physical and perform shipboard duties.
  • Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills; able to explain technical topics.
  • Write clearly in English; capable of basic radio/electronic communications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering maintenance and deck operations, including line handling and watch duties.
  • Perform deck security rounds and assist with emergency responsibilities as directed.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair ship equipment such as winches and cranes.
  • Splice, rig, and handle cargo-handling gear and running gear; secure cargo.
  • Stand gangway watch and perform path obstruction checks during watch duty.
