Job summary

Bristol Wave Seafoods, LLC is seeking an Assistant Engineer to work with the Chief Engineer to maintain all onboard machinery and ensure safe operation of equipment and systems aboard our vessel in Alaska.

You will perform routine maintenance, assist with refueling, log repairs, and help track parts orders. The role requires long voyages, 16-hour shifts, and extended trips depending on the season.

Qualifications

• Experience backing up the Chief Engineer and maintaining onboard machinery to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Experience with refueling and fuel transfer operations.
• Ability to prevent equipment failure through preventive maintenance.
• Ability to perform timely repairs.
• Accurate logging and recording of repairs and maintenance, and ordering supplies.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States (eVerify).
